The Circularity Foundation is currently undertaking a research project exploring what is changing in the world of resources and waste management and how people feel about these changes.
An important aspect of our research involves listening to people who are interested in the circular economy. We are holding a series of conversations to help us understand differing perspectives on the changes taking place within the resources and waste sector and on how these changes are supporting and/or creating barriers to the transition to a more circular economy.
The starting point for participants is to respond to the following questions:
- What changes do you see currently taking place in the Resources and Waste sector, and how do you feel about these changes?
- How do you see these changes supporting and/or creating barriers to a more circular economy?
Responses to these questions will be analysed, and we will feed our learning back to those who contribute.
The Circular Economy Change Conversation project is intended to develop in line with the following timetable:
- Initial round of approaches to potential participants (August / September 2022)
- Launch of website option (by September 2022)
- Initial round of ‘interviews’ (September 2022 – February 2023)
- Closure of the website option (February 2023)
- Analysis and feedback / Interim Report (February 2023 – June 2023)
- Change conversation roundtable discussions (September 2023 – December 2023)
- Analysis and feedback / Final Report (November 2023 – March 2024)
- Dissemination of learning and formulation of next steps (March – August 2024)
